Role Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Taproom Manager to oversee the daily operations of our taproom. This role requires strong leadership, excellent customer service skills, and a passion for maintaining the traditions of British brewing. The ideal candidate will be a strong leader who is passionate about beer, hospitality and community engagement and will bring new ideas to running a successful taproom.

Key Responsibilities
Taproom Operations & Customer Experience

Oversee all aspects of taproom operations, ensuring a smooth and efficient service.

Ensure warm, welcoming environment for all customers.

Oversee wet stock levels as well as shop merchandise to meet customer demand.

Ensure the taproom is clean, well-presented, and adheres to all hygiene and safety standards.

Ensure impeccable standards to meet the highest levels of beer quality
Team Leadership & Staff Management

Recruit, train, and supervise taproom staff to deliver high-quality service.

Foster a positive and professional team culture.

Organise staff rotas and ensure appropriate coverage during peak hours.

Educate staff on Jennings Brewery’s history, brewing methods, and beer range.
Sales & Community Engagement

Promote Jennings Brewery’s ales and taproom offerings to drive sales.

Develop local partnerships and engage with the community to enhance the brewery’s reputation.

Plan and oversee events and tastings to attract visitors.

Monitor sales performance and implement strategies for growth.
Compliance & Safety

Ensure all licensing laws and health & safety regulations are followed.

Maintain accurate records, including stock levels, sales reports, and financial transactions.

Implement and enforce responsible alcohol service policies.
Requirements

Experience in hospitality, pub, or taproom management.

Knowledge and appreciation of traditional British ales and brewing history.

Demonstrable commitment to high standards through qualifications and experience

Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work evenings, weekends, and busy periods.

Experience with POS systems, stock management, and financial reporting.

Enthusiasm for, and ability to develop new ideas to engage the local community
