The legendary beer of the North West. Cumberland Ale has been brewed by Jennings for generations, using our famous well water, Maris Otter malt with just a dash of Chocolate malt to create the deep golden colour, and a classic blend of Fuggles, Goldings and Challenger that give a beautiful fruitiness, hints of subtle spice and the well-rounded bitterness you would expect from a timeless English Pale Ale.

In Cumbrian dialect, a sneck lifter is someone's last sixpence, or the person that used that sixpence to lift the latch (or 'sneck') on the pub door to buy a pint. Maris Otter pale, amber and chocolate malts are combined with English Fuggles, Goldings and Challenger hops and our famous well water, to create a mahogany hued ale with russet highlights and a warming heart. Complex flavours of dried fruits and hints of spice make this one to savour.

Named after Cock-a-Hoop, the act of removing the spigot or cock from a barrel and placing it on the hoop before drinking, with a nod to the River Cocker that runs beside our brewery. Brewed with our famous well water and Maris Otter pale, wheat and oat malts to create the crisp golden colour and deep head. Goldings hops provide a subtle spicy bitterness, while UK Cascade and Celeia provide a noble floral citrus aroma. The perfect session bitter.

A reimagined version of Jennings' classic Lakeland bitter, named after the Castle towering above our brewery. Modest in strength, it is full flavoured with plenty of body. Our well water is blended with Maris Otter pale, Amber, Crystal and Chocolate malts to give depth of flavour and a beautiful copper colour. Fuggles hops provide a gentle but pleasingly noticeable bitterness, while Challenger and Goldings deliver the fruity, slightly spicy aroma of classic English pale ales.

Crisp, refreshing and balanced, Jennings Helles brings together our well water, the sweetness of Munich malt, the zing of bottom-fermented lager yeast and the bite of Tettnang and Perle hops. When German miners came to work the fells around the brewery they left their mark, most famously with the Cumberland sausage, our region's take on a Bratwurst. Jennings Helles is a new chapter in that Cumbria and Bavaria connection.

A dark Cumbrian mild, and the one beer in the core range that is cask only — it is never bottled. Silver in the Regional Cask (British Dark Beer) class at the SIBA Independent Beer Awards 2025.
