The Classic Dark Beer
SIBA 2025 Gold, Regional Bottle and Can, Amber, Brown and Red Ale. In Cumbrian dialect, a sneck lifter is someone's last sixpence, or the person that used that sixpence to lift the latch (or 'sneck') on the pub door to buy a pint. The hope was that, once inside, a friendly face would buy them another. Our tribute to this tradition sees Maris Otter pale, amber and chocolate malts combined with a blend of English Fuggles, Goldings and Challenger hops, and our famous well water, to create a glorious, mahogany hued ale with russet highlights and a warming heart. Complex flavours of dried fruits and hints of spice make this the perfect beer to savour, whatever weather the Lake District gives you.
